Publication Ethics and Publication Malpractice Statement

Asian Academic Publisher Limited focuses on fast publication of peer-reviewed journals in nonlinear science and related fields. Its goal is to promote nonlinear science in all fields. For all parties involving in the act of publishing (publisher, editors, reviewers and authors), it is strongly necessary to follow the highest standards of expected ethical behavior. The ethics statements for our journals are based on COPE's Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors.

Editor's Responsibilities

Fair play

Editors-in-chief evaluate all submitted manuscripts including those from the editorial board members exclusively on the basis of their academic merit and its relevance to the journal's scope, without regard to the authors' race, gender, sexual orientation, ethnic origin, citizenship, religious belief, political philosophy or institutional affiliation.
An associate editor is responsible for manuscripts on a certain direction of journal's scope, and makes a recommendation to one of the Editors-in-chief.
The Managing Editor assigns each submitted paper a manuscript number for easy track, and acknowledge the safe receipt to the all authors for their confirmation. In case some an author is not aware of the submission, the review process should be stopped immediately and the paper is rejected without any technical comments. The Managing Editor sends the main information of each received paper with manuscript number to all editorial board members to ask for initial and fast evaluation from the members, and the full paper in PDF version will be sent to the potential members. In case the editorial board members can not give a full evaluation, the managing editor should send the paper to more than two experts or assign the paper to an associate editor or a member of editorial board for his/her treatment, and an acknowledgement email should be sent to the corresponding author.
Editorial members are responsible for initial evaluation for each submitted paper including English and format of the paper and reference list, and undergo a fast and fair review process assigned by the Managing Editor.
The handing editor should not have any conflicts of interest resulting from competitive, collaborative, or other relationships/connections with any of the authors, companies or institutions connected to the papers. The editors-in-chief or the Managing Editor can turn over the handed manuscript to another editor if there is a conflict.
All Editorial Members are requested to suggest the cute frontiers of journal's main direction to editors-in-chief, and recommend potential authors for review articles in some a hot topic, and recommend new editorial members and special issue proposal from time to time.

Editorial independence

Editorial decision on each manuscript will not be affected by any outside factors, especially by the policies of governments, disturbance from the publisher and editors' affiliations. The Editors-in-Chief have full authority over the entire editorial content of the journal and the timing of publication of that content.

All editorial members will not disclose any information about a submitted manuscript to anyone other than the all authors of the paper, reviewers, potential reviewers, other editorial advisers, and the publisher, as appropriate.

Disclosure and conflicts of interest

All editorial members will not use unpublished information disclosed in a submitted manuscript for their own research purposes without the authors' written permission. Privileged information or ideas obtained by editors as a result of handling the manuscript will be kept confidential and neither used for their personal advantage nor used in open discussion in group seminars. All editorial members are not allowed to develop any new ideas from the unpublished papers, citation to the unpublished papers is also forbidden.

Publication decisions

The editors-in-chief ensure that all submitted manuscripts being considered for publication undergo peer-review by at least three editorial members or two international reviewers who are expert in the field. The Editors-in-Chief are responsible for deciding which of the manuscripts submitted to the journal will be published, based on the validation of the work in question, its importance to researchers and readers, the reviewers' comments, and such legal requirements as are currently in force regarding libel, copyright infringement and plagiarism. The Editors-in-Chief may confer with other editors or reviewers in making this decision.

Involvement and cooperation in investigations

Editors-in-chief (in conjunction with the publisher and/or society) will take responsive measures when ethical concerns are raised with regard to a submitted manuscript or published paper. Every reported act of unethical publishing behaviour will be looked into, even if it is discovered years after publication. Editors follow the COPE Flowcharts when dealing with cases of suspected misconduct. If, on investigation, the ethical concern is well-founded, a correction, retraction, expression of concern or other note as may be relevant, will be published in the journal.

Duties of Reviewers

Peer review helps editors-in-chief to make editorial decisions and helps authors to improve their manuscripts to a higher level. Peer review is extremely essential to promote our journal and science & technology as well.

Any invited reviewers who feel unqualified to review the manuscript or are too busy to finish the evaluation at due period, or have conflicts of interest resulting from competitive, collaborative, or other relationships/connections with any of the authors, companies or institutions connected to the papers, should immediately notify the editor and decline the invitation.

Any manuscripts received for review are confidential documents and must be treated as such; they must not be shown to or discussed with others except if authorized by the Editor. This applies also to invited reviewers who decline the review invitation.

Standards of objectivity

Reviews should be conducted objectively, and should hold no prejudice to each paper. The comments should be totally academic, constructive and operable with supporting arguments so that authors can use them for improving the manuscript. The opinions of a paper can be different from reviewers' previous ones, and personal criticism of the authors is totally inappropriate.

Acknowledgement of sources

Reviewers should check out the reference list to tick out unnecessary citations and identify relevant references that were not cited by the authors. Unnecessary references or reviewer's own publications are forbidden to be recommended for citation.
Reviewers should also check authors' previous publications including accepted ones to find any substantial similarity or overlap between the manuscript under consideration and any other manuscripts.

Unpublished material disclosed in a submitted manuscript must not be used in a reviewer's own research without the express written consent of the authors. Privileged information or ideas obtained through peer review must be kept confidential and not used for the reviewer's personal advantage. This applies also to invited reviewers who decline the review invitation.

Conflict of Interest

Authors must notify the Editors of any conflicts of interest.
