A New Modified-Elliptic-Harmonic-Balance Method and its Application for Symmetric and Pure Quadratic Oscillators

Abstract: In this paper the free vibrations of the symmetric quadratic and pure quadratic oscillators are considered. The differential equations of motion for the both oscillators are approximately solved by a new Modified-Elliptic-Harmonic-Balance (MEHB) method. The obtained analytical solution is compared with numerical one and shows a good agreement.
