Solution of the MHD Falkner-Skan Equation: Variational Iteration Method Coupled with Padè Approximation

Abstract: In this work, firstly the Hankel-Padè method is applied for the accurate calculation of the skin friction coefficient of the boundary layer MHD Falkner-Skan equation. The boundary layer similarity equation takes into account a special form of the chosen magnetic field. The variational iteration method coupled with Padè approximation is applied to find the series solution of the boundary layer Falkner-Skan equation for wedge. From the obtained results it is observed that the variational iteration method coupled with Padè approximation improves the accuracy and enlarges the convergence domain.
